My personal belief that education is the key to solving many of society's ills is firmly rooted in my family's immigrant background. In 1970, I graduated from Brooklyn College with a BA in education and sociology. The next seven years were spent as a teacher in the New York City public school system while receiving my MA in education. Personal challenge and financial obligations led me into the business world. A successful career as an income tax specialist and financial planner never replaced teaching as my first love. Currently, I am also a mediator at the Justice Court in Southampton.
